Transit in Moscow

Transit in Moscow is very advanced, and includes a wide variety of options for getting around the city.

The message on the side of this bus says "eta electrobus", or "this is electrobus".  Moscow has decided to replace its trolley buses with battery electric buses.

This is a charging station for the electrobuses.  I don't know how long it takes to charge.

Moscow has lots of trams as well.  This one is an old style, 1930s era, kept in service for tourist reasons.

These are the newer version, low floor trams.

Sorry, no photos of the metro.  It's the most impressive part of the whole transit system, 15 lines covering the entire metropolitan area (with even more options once you include the intercity rail, which are electric trains to the suburbs).
